Shin Injury First Aid
Shin Injury First Aid can be performed at a number of different levels, to either enable a sportsperson to continue in their chosen activity or to help them recover from a shin injury. However, First Aid performed on a casualty with a shin injury must be conservative and will depend on the severity of the shin injury. If in any doubt about the level of shin injury sustained the injured party should not be moved and medical assistance should be called for, to ensure that the severity of the injury is not compounded.
First Aid Shin Support
For lower leg or shin injuries a range of treatments can be applied from hot or cold shin pain relief treatments to the use of a first aid shin support to stabilize the injured muscles whilst the injured body increases its mobility. Equally a range of strapping tapes can be used and applied to injured muscle groups in the back.
