Shoulder stretches - shoulder supportsShoulder injuries can be prevented by carrying out effective shoulder stretches before undertaking your chosen exercise. If shoulder muscle groups are weak, for example the Deltoid muscles, then effective shoulder stretches and exercise are essential if you are to avoid shoulder pain during and after exercise.

To carry out an effective Deltoid stretch, from a normal standing position with the body in neutral spine and the elbows off lock, bring your arm out in front of you to a horizontal position ensuring that the elbow is slightly bent. Then place the other hand behind the back of the upper arm and pull the arm across the body until the stretch is felt in the back of the shoulder.

If you have a weak shoulder SUPPORT4PHYSIO supply a full range of shoulder supports, from single sided shoulder supports to double sided shoulder supports made from either breathable open cell neoprene, the Oppo shoulder supports to the closed cell LP neoprene shoulder supports.
