Neck Stretches
Performing an effective stretch of the neck will help prevent injury to muscles involved in neck flexion, neck extension and neck rotation.
Instructions:

From a normal standing position (or seated for post stretch) - place your hands on the hips,
- extend the head to the left,
- hold
- until the stretch is felt in the neck muscles ,
- before extending the neck to the right,
- and holding again,
- until the stretch is felt
- in the opposite neck muscle.
- Throughout the stretch maintain a neutral spine posture.
