LP: Heat/Cold Gelpacks & Wraps
Cold gelpacks, aka ice-packs and heat gelpacks may be used to reduce swelling, relieve pain from headaches, relax tight joints or ease arthritic pain. Our range of LP cold/heat gelpacks are unique in that the purchase of one re-usable cold/heat gelpack enables the user to have a choice of heat or cold therapy as and when it is needed.
For LP cold therapy the gelpack is placed in a freezer for two and a half hours, staying flexible at subfreezing temperatures so that it can conform to the shape of the injured part of the body when applied. For LP heat therapy the gelpack is microwaved in water for approximately two minutes before being applied to the injured part of the body in either a towel or an LP wrap.
